Taiwanese Chorus of Greater Houston (TCGH) is a non-profit organization founded in 1970 by a group of Taiwanese Americans living in Houston, Texas to promote Taiwanese culture through the performance of choral music.
The mission of TCGH is to:
- Enhance the lives of choir members through the learning of choral music
- Share Taiwanese cultural heritage through participation in community activities
- Advocate for a harmonious multicultural society through concert performances
TCGH has held countless concerts. The ‘Nostalgia’ Concert in 2015 celebrated our 45th anniversary, and the ‘Fly! Formosa!’ Concert in 2017 promoted world peace. The ‘Ilha Formosa – Time For Taiwan’ concert, performed on a Carnival Vista cruise in 2019, advocated international multicultural exchange. After pandemic, we felt the need to spread love through music and held “Our Songs, Our Love!” Concert in 2023. For years, TCGH concerts are well regarded by all.
Currently, weekly practice sessions are held on Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. at the Taiwanese Community Center. Under the teaching of our conductor, choir members have fun while learning, performing, and enjoying the music. If you feel like singing and meeting new people, we welcome you to join TCGH. You will have a memorable time being a part of this “forever young” group.

德州休士頓台聲合唱團在1970年成立，由台灣鄉親組成，以發揚台灣文化及演唱各族群曲韻精粹為主。經常到台美社區及主流社會演唱，並定期舉辦音樂會，與大家分享跳躍音符的喜悅！
本團的宗旨是：
- 以音樂和歌唱來提高團員生活樂趣和品質，由學習合唱中促進團員友誼。
- 參與台美社區活動，以演唱來增進鄉親對台灣文化的認同，傳播台灣歌曲的優美。
- 藉由音樂會演出，來促進各界人士對台灣文化的瞭解，增進族群關係及文化交流。
